Terms of Service
Last updated: October 16, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the fussybug.com website and any audit, review or advisory services provided by FussyBug ("FussyBug", "we", "us"). By using this website or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Services
FussyBug provides reviews of software source code, applications and related systems, with a focus on code produced with AI coding tools. The exact scope, timeline, deliverables and fee for each engagement are set out in a written proposal, statement of work or order form ("Order") agreed between you and us. If an Order conflicts with these Terms, the Order applies.
2. Nature of an Audit
An audit is a professional, best-effort review carried out within an agreed scope and time. No audit can identify every defect or vulnerability. Our reports describe the issues we found during the engagement and are not a guarantee, warranty or certification that your software is secure, error-free or compliant with any law or standard. A "gate pass" means that the critical issues identified in our report were re-tested and verified as fixed at the time of re-testing.
Our services are technical in nature and do not constitute legal, regulatory or compliance advice.
3. Your Responsibilities
- You confirm that you own the code and systems you ask us to review, or have permission to have them reviewed.
- You will provide the access, information and test accounts reasonably needed for the engagement.
- You remain responsible for deciding which fixes to apply, applying them, and for the operation and security of your software.
4. Fees and Payment
Fees are stated in US dollars and exclude applicable taxes. Unless an Order says otherwise, one-time audits are invoiced 50% on signing and 50% on delivery of the report; monthly services are invoiced in advance on the first day of each month; and emergency engagements are invoiced in full before work begins. Invoices are due within 14 days. We may pause work on overdue accounts.
5. Confidentiality
We treat your source code, systems, data and business information as confidential. We use it only to perform the services, share it only with personnel and vetted contractors bound by written confidentiality obligations, and delete copies of your code at the end of the engagement unless you ask us in writing to retain them. Where requested, we will sign a separate non-disclosure agreement before receiving access.
6. Ownership
You keep all rights in your code and systems. On full payment, you own the reports and test cases we deliver to you. We keep the right to use our general know-how, methods and tools, and to use fully anonymized, non-identifying findings to improve our services.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FussyBug's total liability arising out of or relating to any engagement is limited to the fees you paid for that engagement in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including lost profits, lost data, security incidents caused by third parties, or business interruption.
8. Website Use
The content on this website is provided for general information. Examples, sample reports and figures shown on this website are illustrative only. You may not use this website in a way that is unlawful or that interferes with its operation.
9. Termination
Either party may end an engagement with written notice. You will pay for work performed up to the date of termination. Monthly services may be cancelled at the end of any minimum term stated in your Order.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [State], United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when they last changed. Changes do not affect Orders already signed.
